Five Must-Visit Parks in San Antonio

You want to visit some parks in San Antonio?

Well, here are five you should check out.
First, there's Brackenridge Park, he oldest in the city with trails and a zoo.

Upcoming Activities

Here are three festivals or major events happening in or around San Antonio between September 11 and September 15, 2025:

1. 20th Anniversary Celebrations at The Shops at La Cantera

When: Starting September 11, with highlights through the week
What’s Happening: To mark 20 years since its opening, The Shops at La Cantera launches a week-long celebration that kicks off with a free live concert by Two Tons of Steel on September 11. Then on September 13, the mall unveils “Catrina Cantera,” a Día de Muertos–inspired fashion display by Araminta Romero, complete with live DJs, mariachi music, and traditional treats.

2. World Heritage Festival — Missions Celebration

When: Wednesday through Sunday of that week (which includes September 11–15)
What’s Included:

  • Free public tours of Mission San José, Mission San Juan, Mission Concepción, and Mission Espada.

  • Thursday special tour of Rancho de las Cabras (reservation required).

  • “Tour de Las Misiones” fitness event — walk, run, or cycle between missions (likely on Saturday; registration required).

  • Outdoor Mass at Mission Espada on September 14.

This festival honors San Antonio's UNESCO World Heritage missions and offers a meaningful blend of history, culture, and active participation.

3. Festival of Faiths San Antonio 2025

When: Sunday, September 14, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM (volunteer orientation happens on September 13)
What’s Included: Held at the University of the Incarnate Word, this multicultural event features:

  • Music and dance performances

  • Panel discussions and faith-based dialogue tables

  • Intergenerational activities, storytelling, a genealogy search station, yoga, and food trucks

  • A warm, inclusive environment celebrating diverse beliefs and cultural backgrounds

 

4. Passport Germany at Central Market
When: Runs September 10–23, with a German food-themed stroll on September 12 (4–7 PM)
What’s Included: Immerse yourself in German culture with specialty foods, traditional fare, and curated imports. The themed stroll and culinary experiences offer a festive flair just outside the core festival dates.
